In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
